1. You shun a kiss from a smiling mouth as though
Kissing were some heinous crime.
١. أَمُحتَمِياً بِالدِينِ عَن لَثمِ مَبسمٍ
وَما لَثمُهُ إِلا يَسيرٌ مِن اللَمَم
2. Yet the Beneficent with His all-embracing mercy
Follows that small misdeed.
٢. وَقَد أَعقَبَ الرَحمَنُ ذاكَ بِوسعِهِ
لِغُفرانِهِ فاسمَح بلقيا فَمٍ لِفَم
