1. God knows what my wings have hidden
When I saw the separation fulfilled its promise

2. They said the beloved has departed, his beauty gone
He avoided, so how did you find his absence with you

3. I answered them, I would be ungrateful for his grace
And gifts, if I lived happily after him

4. And perhaps He who set the sky still guides him back
Swiftly and relieves us, his presence and his loss

5. Trust in success, for your Lord does what He wills
For you, O Nizar, and makes your future joyful

6. This is what I can do, and He who gave you
Of His bounty has satisfied you with His gift
