1. Tell the Imam Mu'izz ad-Din Muhammad,
With the sword of Samhariyya and the piercing blade,

2. That if my sins have become great and my crimes
Have exceeded the limit of sins, enormities,

3. The least that your forgiveness contains is so vast
That its little surrounds my major sins,

4. By Allah, the sins of a repentant person never remain
Nor does the punishment of the Capable bring goodness.

5. My excuse for intentional sins is absentmindedness
And the sin reveals the grace of the forgiveness of the Capable.

6. I have confessed to a sin attributed openly to me
Which did not reside in the knots of my conscience.

7. No, by Him who elevated your status in the highest,
And granted you the magnificent, lofty nobility,

8. My mind did not lead me to it intentionally
Nor did the foot of death's approach occur in my thoughts.

9. Had I not feared your reneging on what
You obliged me to without the witnessing of my eyes,

10. I would expose the slander of the envious against me
And the gossip of the slanderer and the betrayal of the betrayer.
