1. Oh uncle, you are still blessed with prosperity,
Exalted in status, cheerful and content.

2. Convey my greetings to our lord and master,
And to one who tomorrow will command, with fate at his order.

3. Tell him your hands have grasped success,
Good fortune is yours, you have not met frustration.

4. O best successor, since you began,
You've been praised in wilderness, and thanked.

5. Since the caliphate's robe was bestowed upon you,
You've been honored, and from your hearing, no deficiency comes.

6. The meaning of what I send and convey,
Is my love and thanks, in verse and prose.

7. For all I convey began with you,
Even if we repeat and reiterate it.

8. I sent gifts of prominent apples, which
Speak of the cheeks of dolls, beautifully rouged.

9. Each golden apple, perfumed with musk and camphor,
As if cheeks they'd kissed, leaving traces and effects.

10. Each lemon's exterior mimics,
The lover's complexion, when abandoned, distraught.

11. So greet the days, elevated in rank,
Adorned by victory, triumphant over foes.
