1. If you are well-chosen, square,
Then endow Al-Qarafa with choice;

2. Its stages inhabited by clemency,
Specializing in piety and splendor;

3. As if its incense has soil,
Scented in its morning and evening;

4. And it cheers up souls in its places,
With soft breeze and good air;

5. Abodes in which comfort is revolved,
And songs like the return of singing;

6. Suns increase its splendor,
And beautify in the eyes of every seer;

7. And it awakens the sleepy there the call,
When the sword of light tears the night;

8. So from a rememberer fearing his Lord,
And from a beseecher prolonging the supplication;

9. And the life of a person is no good,
If he does not fear the day of judgement;

10. I hoped, O Lord, not because I
Obeyed You like the very accomplished;

11. But because I am a faithful believer,
That You are the Lord of all creations;

12. And that You are worthy of good assumptions,
And You are worthy of good hopes;

13. And I have no intercessor to You,
Other than the seal of the prophets;

14. And I am monotheist to You, free
From polytheism, blasphemy and transgression;

15. So pardon my slip, favoring me,
And forgive my prophethood and my twisting.
