1. I did not feel lonely without you for four nights,
And your kingdom remained as solid as granite rock.

2. I found joy in your homelands, which were adorned,
With the beauty of your prosperous palace.

3. Its corners almost wilted for the absence of a night,
When you did not come to it on a quick journey.

4. It complained like a lover complains of yearning,
Revealing for you a deep grief and sighing.

5. The land you left behind lost all its perfection,
It almost crumbled into debris after you were gone.

6. The sun is illuminated by you at its rising,
And the moon shines in the sky's horizon.

7. How amazing that the living whom your eyes,
Did not glance upon for a moment can still see!

8. O noble chosen king, endowed with success,
Appointed ruler, and given triumph!

9. A waterer of a land you visited and lodged,
Sanctified and purified by your presence.

10. By your grace, Mount Sinai attained what,
Mount Tur attained by the favor of Moses.

11. If it could know and understand, your land would set out,
Yearning to perform pilgrimage, and visit you.

12. The palace you left behind complained,
Of a night - it does not complain when abandoned!

13. Its stones shrank, and the least,
That the corridors and rocks complained of was separation.

14. It complained of the change of its heart and innermost being.
Both young and old sincere souls.
