1. O you who complained of the wind's cold,
And spent the night lamenting its howl,

2. And saw him turn away,
More deserving and more apt was his beloved.

3. I am fully satisfied with my beloved,
In deed and word, to the utmost extent.

4. If I say "Visit me an hour,"
He shows his pleasure and lingers around.

5. An abundance of beauty is not found
In one who seeks out defects, not at all.

6. Though I make him a king,
I see him as fully devoted to me in love.
