When she gestured with her fingers towards a lamb

1. When she gestured with her fingers towards a lamb
Towards me, and her teardrops were mingled with blood,

2. And dawn broke, so that a moon appeared on her face,
On which was a darkness, cast by her evil,

3. I embraced her, and my tears were in her tears,
Flowing, and we kissed mouth to mouth,

4. As though in her chaste mouth had been opened
A spring of sweet, cool rose-water,

5. My love for your face, O she whom I kept it secret,
My love for the substitute of dew, generosity and nobility.
