١. بِبُلْبَيْسَ لاقيتُ وَشْكَ النوى
فلاقاه عن عجلٍ خَسْفُهُ
2. Nor did rain aid it from any halt
As if its dwellings were its bosom
٢. ولا جاده الغيث مِن منزلٍ
كأنّ مجالسَه كُنْفُهُ
3. And enough for you from a desolate halt
Three fifths of it and describe it
٣. وحسبك من منزِلٍ موحِشٍ
ثلاثة أخماسِهِ وصفه
