1. The free man does not descend into vileness
And glory belongs to the noble soul

2. From virtues and piety
Is the excellence of conscience and integrity

3. And man covers with generosity
The faults of the generous soul

4. And forbearance is the greatest
When transgression becomes excessive

5. And reason is the finest adornment
For my sharp and steadfast brother

6. And injustice is from the ugliness of nature
And habit of the mean soul

7. And rebellion portends ruin
And destruction and defeat

8. Do you not see where rebellion led
The sons of Umayyah

9. Turning away from guidance
And tyrannizing the flock

10. And assailing the son of Fatimah the pure
They blasphemed the Lord of Muhammad

11. Out of rebellion, thus they violated his prophethood
And were insolent towards his two grandsons of truth

12. And wrongfully fought his successor
Forgetting their prophet’s saying

13. He who is my master, so now is Abu Hasan his guardian
By shedding the blood of Hussein

14. And killing him, grief has been brought upon me
What was made permissible in Karbala

15. Of the Hashimi souls
What were the heads severed

16. Of them and the Samhra
The sky wept for their loss

17. And the earth and the wilderness cried
The people of virtues, generosity

18. Softness, pleasantness, and righteousness
And the people of prophethood, guidance

19. Loftiness, and glorification
Umayyah killed the greatest of Hashim

20. Through that, from an affliction
With the grudges of Badr, they sought them

21. And the blood of the polytheists
They betrayed the Prophet by killing them

22. And were bigoted towards the age of ignorance
They demolished the Shariah while the Shariah

23. Is tender in origin and gentle
Their hidden deeds were not concealed

24. From the Lord of creation
What is their excuse on the day of gathering

25. When mankind is brought for judgement
And the Prophet comes demanding

26. The blood of the son of Fatimah the pleased
And Hussein's blood is on grapes

27. While its eyes weep for it
They slaughtered him without cleansing

28. Like sacrificial livestock
In Karbala he freely gave his pure

29. Thirsty soul
Until he fell to their swords

30. And arrows, in them a gaping hole
Most dear to me is his place

31. Thirsty in that enclosure
And his father's sons around him

32. Amongst the hostile people of animosity
They had shed the white of wrist

33. And prepared for demise
Until they passed away around him

34. And were made to drink death equally
And the wicked son of Ziyad

35. The cursed one sought them with enmity
He did not falter in killing

36. The Prophet's progeny out of zealotry
Until when they had covered him

37. With the soil of the fertile earth
They drove the horses over the thirsty one

38. Over each living pure soul
They dishonored the women of their Prophet

39. And in transgression shared the booty
Prisoners led like captives taken

40. By the polytheists without piety
Until when they came to add

41. More to them and their cries drew near
He revealed gloating and said insolent

42. Words about the honorable chaste women
Most dear to me is their standing

43. Barefoot, each atop the mount
And the head tossed as he strikes

44. With the staff upon the spine
Oh my eyes, weep with blood

45. For the misfortune of the Fatimis
I vow to not taste pleasures

46. Or lie upon a mattress
And I will abandon the sweetness of life

47. Which to me is luxurious
Until I visit Umayyah

48. In every distant region
And make them taste the cup of death

49. Morning and evening
Until I avenge my forefathers

50. From the wretched wicked people
If I do not make the taste of sorrow

51. Blind the eyes of some of them
Until Umayyah passes away

52. Save an Umayyah claiming lies
Then I am free of the successorship

53. And his high birth
My soul yearns for those

54. Who passed and left no remainder
By Allah, it will not settle

55. Until I trouble those despicable souls
And the revenge of Hussein's

56. Father is taken by my sword in refuge
I, my forefathers, and my people

57. And the honorable Ahmadis
Tasted misery and were ruined

58. By the hand of the slanderer son of the slanderer
By the hand of the deviant son of the deviant

59. Son of the deviant, son of the deviants
Violating the Shariah and the flock

60. Selling their conscience
In every matter with sin
