1. If you use me in seeking knowledge and ambition
The water of virtues is cool and pleasant in my mouth

The meadow scented with wafting camphor breezes

5. With bright blue that makes the birds an easy prey
You almost see what clothes hide in the dark

6. The hawk disdains not the wrist of glorious Majid
Used to bearing hawk, sword, and pen

7. A hand for munificence and at times for battle
Kissed midst munificence and battle-stained

8. When the hawk-bearer mounts his steed, my heart pounds
Moments that flare up like glowing embers

9. I startled thereby a flock of birds together
And drenched them in blood on every side

10. If I did not hunt them, their taste was not sweet
I crave no meat I did not hunt with my spear
