1. I saw passion as either a guide to disgrace,
Degrading the dignified or repelling advice.

2. There is no good in a matter when passion seizes a young man,
His honor becomes plunder and his charity ugliness.

3. So whoever possesses intellect must not obey passion,
For disgraces have explained it to us plainly.
