1. It is great that you are ours.. the afflicted
You have entertained us.. arguments.. torment

2. Are you not the honest conscience of our nation
Bringing back the misguided youth from wandering astray

3. You grew great as a fighter and devoutly God-fearing
Brilliant in your illumination like a shooting star

4. Great in your humility.. forbearing
You have provided an answer for every dilemma

5. You have certainly startled.. all people in love
So how could it be as you intended departure

6. You left.. and the Muslim nation complains
From events.. you consoled her.. torment

7. The spirit of jihad has faded.. and miserable are the people
Who gave up their jihad.. the stirrups

8. O father of scholars.. and the poor.. we
Almost live an alienated world.. estranged

9. Its ardour in love faded.. and your morals refrained
From the world counting on reward in the Hereafter

10. And you inspired awe.. majestically
Upon science.. thus becoming the revered

11. I see.. your chair of fatwa stirred
Tears longing for your return

12. And students.. craving you in longing
You teach them.. and address them in speech

13. As if they have gone to meet you
To hear legislation from you chapter by chapter

14. Your orphans.. the pulpits are hammers
And those who loved the book of knowledge

15. The hearts of Muslims bid farewell
To one who does not disappoint.. one who turns repentantly

16. If they carried the bier on shoulders
Their hearts have carried the affliction

17. .. And that for him.. a delegation to the Merciful
God willing he will not fear reckoning

18. The shining guide of knowledge and opinion
For you are the beloved and did not come the blame

19. And you inspired awe.. majestically
Upon science.. thus becoming the revered

20. Your farewell.. in souls has lights
And your loss shook the youth in sorrow

21. I see.. your chair of fatwa stirred
Tears longing for your return

22. And a prayer niche.. scented by you.. with
Verses of the Wise Remembrance back to you

23. And students.. craving you in longing
You teach them.. and address them in speech

24. I see the great crowds in every expanse
Their multitudes pouring therein like floods

25. As if they have gone to meet you
To hear legislation from you chapter by chapter

26. And to give them fatwa.. and teach them lessons
And grant them from knowledge the essence

27. Your orphans.. the pulpits are hammers
And those who loved the book of knowledge

28. You gave them.. enlightening sermons
Which removed the veils from their insights

29. The hearts of Muslims bid farewell
To one who does not disappoint.. one who turns repentantly

30. I see the "Sacred Mosque" surging with people
As if their clamor.. how wondrous

31. If they carried the bier on shoulders
Their hearts have carried the affliction

32. Is not the imam of their Sunnah buried
And that his departure.. has come to pass

33. .. And that for him.. a delegation to the Merciful
God willing he will not fear reckoning

34. Their hearts.. urging dust
To rejoice in loving him.. the soil

35. The shining guide of knowledge and opinion
For you are the beloved and did not come the blame

36. Farewell O beloved of people we
In losing you.. ask God for reward
