١. أعددتُ عندي لنَدَامَايّ العَجَبْ
أبيضَ في ثوبِ حريرٍ يُنْتَخَبْ
2. As if it had melted from amber dripped
Yellow in the color of the sorrowful lover
٢. كأنما ذوباً من التِّبْر انْسَرَبْ
أَصْفَرَ في لونِ المُحِبّ المكتَئِبْ
3. As if the water of saffron is disturbed
Above the pipes of wine that was poured
٣. كأنَّ ماء الزعْفَرَانِ يَضْطَرِبْ
فَوْقَ أنابيب اللُّجَيْنِ قد ضُرِبْ
4. As if pillars of gold
Tied to its edges, the green of fresh
٤. كأنما أعْمِدَةٌ من الذَّهَبْ
شُدَّ إلى أطْرَافِها خُضْرُ العَذَبْ
