1. God turned away from the one who slept
And taught my eyelids wakefulness

2. And did not make me wait long for His promise
And the one who promised was untrue to me

3. I am jealous of him from my eyes
When he appears to the eyes

4. And were it not for fear of their Creator
I would have plucked them out of jealousy
