1. Good deeds make many enemies
So I’m patient and act in hopes of reward
١. كثرّ الإحسانُ أعدا
يَ فصبراً واحتِسَابَا
2. None oppose me except
Those who oppose what's right
٢. ما يعاديني إلاّ
كلُّ مَنْ عادَى الصَّوابا
3. They claim my integrity
Has become my flaw and shame
٣. زَعَمُوا أن افْتِنَاني
صار لي نقصاً وَعَابا
4. But God has granted me
Wisdom, fortune, and gain
٤. زادني اللَّهُ من الحِكْ
مَةِ حظًّا واكْتِسابَا
