١. مَا زِلْتُ أُسْقَاهَا عَلَى
وَجْهِ غَزَالٍ مُونَقِ
2. With a polished moon,
A ring that speaks,
٢. بِقَمَرٍ مُنْتَقبٍ
بِخَاتَمٍ مُنْتَطِقِ
3. The full moon over the Tigris,
The dawn when it shines,
٣. وَالْبَدْرُ فَوْقَ دِجْلَةٍ
وَالصُّبْحُ لَمَّا يُشْرِقِ
4. Eyeliner of gold
Over a blue rug.
٤. مِكْحَلَةٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ
فَوْقَ بِسَاطٍ أَزْرَقِ
