1. I take the night as a camel
The night is not burdened with any load
١. أَتَّخِذُ اللَّيْلَ جَمَلْ
مَا حُمِّلَ اللَّيْلُ حَمَلْ
2. The night contains pleasure
And the night leaves time for work
٢. واللَّيْلُ فِيْهِ مُتْعَةٌ
وَاللَّيْلُ أَخْلَى لِلْعَمَلْ
3. In it I feel secure from visitors
It distracts me from worldly cares
٣. آمَنُ فِيْهِ زَائِرَاً
يَشْغَلُنِي عَنِ الشُّغُلْ
4. And if boredom befalls me
I dispel it with a gentle breeze
٤. وَإِنْ عَرَانِي مَلَلٌ
نَفَيْتُ بِالرَّاحِ المَلَلْ
