As the gorgeous saddle-cloth went about the bay horse

2. The cloak of brilliant steed colors though
None but the noblest should wear such a cloak

3. The two seas laughed at the blackness of its hide
And so the darkness is illuminated by the stars

4. As if it were shrouded in pallbearers
As if studded with gems
