You gazed at the blueness in my ring

1. You gazed at the blueness in my ring
And said, “Why does this attire belong to grief?”

2. Since your love died and came to an end,
I cried it in blood and in streaming tears.

3. And I wished to wear the garb of mourning, for
It is the garb of the sorrowful, the wandering grief-stricken.

4. And I feared if I wore it openly
They would guess, so I wore it on my ring.
