1. The one whom you sent to us has come
Though once non-existent, now a welcome guest
١. قَدْ أَتَانَا الَّذِي بَعَثْتَ إِلَيْنَا
وَهْوَ شَيْءٌ فِي وَقْتِنَا مَعْدُومُ
2. A bud so fresh has come to recreate
Necklaces strung with pearls in fine bequest
٢. طَلْعَةٌ غَضَّةٌ أَتَتْنَا تُحَاكِي
سَفْطَاً فِيْهِ لُؤلُؤٌ مَنْظُومُ
3. Much I possessed was little in your eyes
When gifted by a lord so grand and wise
٣. وَكَثِيْرٌ مَا قَلَّ عِنْدَكَ عِنْدِي
إِذْ حَبَانِي بِهَا رَئِيْسٌ عَظِيْمُ
4. Not he who gives away mere wealth and gold
But he who gives his love, generous and bold
٤. مَا جَوَادٌ مَنْ جَادَ بِالمَالِ لَكْنْ
نَ المُوَاسِي هُوَ الجَوَادُ الكَرِيْمُ
