And another yellow like the moon.

8. Two young ladies, one blamed for being too old
And the other blamed for being too young.

9. A wine bearer whose ancientness
Dates back to Adam, father of mankind.

10. And a maiden whose image shows you
The full moon in its shiny attire.

11. She bent her branch, and our wine bearer slipped,
Spilling embers without sparks.

12. The cupbearer hurries to serve us, saying:
“For our intoxicated friends, necklaces of flowers.”

13. Two earrings shone for us,
Of temples and hair locks.

14. Oh you who leaves the fragrance of his day for tomorrow,
Selling the eye of joy for a trace.

15. If worries have estranged your heart, nothing
Is like triumph with flute and melody.

16. And a fawn whose glances confused its admirer,
With the gazes of a doe's eyes in conversation.

17. I was compelled to love him and excuse him,
And if he spurned me, I pleaded destiny.

18. I asked him falsely and he generously obliged,
And all this with glances of sight.

19. So I attained my request from the sipping of his saliva,
And my desire from other purposes.
