1. I call upon You, my Lord, so answer my prayer
O Originator of the universe and all living things

2. I stand at the door of Your mercy, which
My great hope has never been disappointed in

3. Enlighten my heart with guidance and piety
And protect it from whims and passions

4. I am under Your protection so be my supporter and protect me
From every enemy and every tribulation

5. I have no lord but You in this darkness
That you may illuminate with clear guidance my space

6. God forbid that I take refuge in other than You
For You alone are my destination and allegiance

7. I have stretched out my hand to You, perhaps
I will obtain the blessings you have bestowed

8. Grant me the good of patience and solace when
I am touched by any harm or difficulties

9. And when I grow weary then deliver me from my affliction
And make your guidance my remedy when I go astray

10. O Forgiver, forgive my sins
And do not take me to account for my mistakes

11. I have none but You to answer me when I call
And remove my anguish and misery from me

12. I have inclined my face obediently, may You
Gather me with the righteous and martyrs

13. Glory be to You O God, You are the One
The Unique, The Exalted, The Majestic, The names

14. I believe that You are the Knower of the unseen
Ordainer of destinies and all things
