١. وَراضي القَلبِ غَضبانِ اللِسانِ
لَهُ خُلقانِ ما يَتَشابَهانِ
2. He gladdens my affection and prolongs my estrangement
Intertwining affection with humiliation
٢. يُسِرُّ مَوَدَّتي وَيُطيلُ هَجري
وَيَمزُجُ لي المَوَدَّةَ بِالهَوانِ
