1. Your Lord exalted you above all others
He protected you with guidance and shielded you

2. Glory be to Him, He granted you the overflowing virtue
That He did not grant anyone else in the two worlds

3. He fashioned you with magnificent creation and rose you high
So that beauty itself exalts no one but you

4. Glory be to Him, He gave you the best message
With which you spread your guidance in both worlds

5. And He will honor you on Judgement Day with intercession
An illustrious intercession granted to none but you

6. God sent you to us as a mercy
No one who followed your footsteps has gone astray

7. We were lost in darkness, then rose
The sun of guidance when your light dawned

8. We and our Lord were drowning in our ruin
Until we tied our rope to your pillar

9. If not for you we would not worship the One God
Until God guided us the day He guided you

10. You who the inanimate softened toward in affection
And the animals complained to when they saw you

11. And the trunk hears the yearning in its moan
And its crying in longing to meet you

12. What could our praise and poetry add to you
When God in the Quran already exalted you

13. What could the sacrifice protect you from
When our Lord in His eyes watches over you

14. Full moon, tell us of the palm
That struck tyrants and so your palm was blessed

15. And the cave that speaks to us of the eye
That protected you as you slept in it with eyes closed

16. I did not write poems about you in reverence
Lest my words lower their heads before your eminence

17. But they are fire upon your enemies
He who offends the throne's God has offended you

18. I hold my soul cheap beside your honor
A soul that goes while your protection remains untouched

19. They paralyzed the image of you and froze
Within veins the blood of those who hurt you

20. Woe, and woe again and woe to he
Who attacked your noble character and reviled you!

21. To you O Messenger of God, go the beats of my poems
If a poem had a heart, it would sacrifice itself for you

22. They will not extend from your station one hair
Until even the celestial spheres extend

23. By God, they will never reach you nor
The grains of sand in the soil of your path

24. They are like insects on the ground while your station
Is like the sky - so who can ascend your loftiness?

25. My soul, my children, my family and all
That life contains sacrifice themselves for you
