13. As if she was listening to inform him
Through her ear some talk and verse

14. Hair streaming from her, smooth and plaited
Braids ornamented with golden beads

15. You can see by her emaciation, the pulling
Of the harness has made her cheek pallid

16. The sons of hope fling you to her
And fate has granted their wishes

17. You are plentiful and this is Egypt
So flow, for you are both seas

18. Do not cease to fulfill my hopes
For in that you have no excuse

19. And it is my right, being with you both
No poverty may touch my domain

20. The Nile revives Egypt with its water
And your bounty revives its people with wine
