1. His Master named him Lāstimlāḥ for his cheekiness,
So he strutted proudly at the name and was delighted.

2. A gazelle whose forehead seems decorated with a Pleiades,
While the buyer is in the houses of Sa'd and Suruj.

3. A decisive glance whose sword wounds the onlooker's heart
If it glances at a heart, it says no shame.

4. His unsheather kept wielding it against people
Until it drove the emigrant from their homelands.

5. May Allah grant me relief if I extend my hand to him
To ask him for your love, relief.

6. Nor did I taste tranquility with you, O my hope!
And your love took root in my heart and did not depart.
