1. I plead to you, O silent one
In a form of poetry

2. Though its length is a span
It may grow to a span

3. It has in its head a cleft
Subtle, flowing with dew

4. When it is wet, it comes wondrous
A wonder in the matter

5. If it dries, it does not cease
On land or in sea

6. Answer me, I saw no lewdness
