2. Rather, a young gazelle of Yemen enchanted me,
A Yemeni one, for the generous are Yemeni.

ูข. ุจูŽู„ู‰ ููŽุงุฒุฏูŽู‡ูŽุชู†ูŠ ู„ูู„ุตูุจุง ุฃูŽุฑูŠูŽุญููŠู‘ูŽุฉูŒ
ูŠูŽู…ุงู†ููŠู‘ูŽุฉูŒ ุฅูู†ู‘ูŽ ุงู„ุณูŽู…ุงุญูŽ ูŠูŽู…ุงู†ูŠ

3. Had I wished, my hands would have fondled the smooth skinned,
Except for the hands of a steed or beautiful women.

ู…ูู†ูŽ ุงู„ู„ูŽู…ุณู ุฅูู„ู‘ุง ู…ูู† ูŠูุฏูŽูŠู‘ู ุญูŽุตุงู†ู

4. But I made a pact with one I will not betray,
So what faithful person, O Yazid, do you see me as?

5. And a liquor drinker who lifts the cup from the circle of booze,
And brings it down everywhere from it.

ูฅ. ูˆูŽุฎูุฑู‚ู ูŠูŽุฌูู„ู‘ู ุงู„ูƒูŽุฃุณูŽ ุนูŽู† ู…ูŽู†ุทูู‚ู ุงู„ุฎูŽู†ุง
ูˆูŽูŠูู†ุฒูู„ูู‡ุง ู…ูู†ู‡ู ุจููƒูู„ู‘ู ู…ูŽูƒุงู†ู

6. When the repentant became miserable, son of disgrace,
And the infant sucked its sweetness for milk.

ูฆ. ุชูŽุฑุงู‡ู ู„ูŽู…ุง ุณุงุกูŽ ุงู„ู†ูŽุฏุงู…ู‰ ุงุจู†ูŽ ุนูŽู„ู‘ูŽุฉู
ูˆูŽู„ูู„ุดูŽูŠุกู ู„ูŽุฐู‘ูˆู‡ู ุฑูŽุถูŠุนูŽ ู„ูุจุงู†ู

7. When he cast the cup aside, it betrayed its right,
I wavered in it and the fingertips trembled.

ูง. ุฅูุฐุง ู‡ููˆูŽ ุฃูŽู„ู‚ู‰ ุงู„ูƒูŽุฃุณูŽ ูŠูู…ู†ุงู‡ู ุฎุงู†ูŽู‡ู

8. I refused it then my vain efforts shortened,
And I resolved like an unrestrained slave girl.

ูˆูŽุตูŽู…ู‘ูŽู…ุชู ูƒูŽุงู„ุฌุงุฑูŠ ุจูุบูŽูŠุฑู ุนูู†ุงู†ู

9. And an old maid degraded like a whoreโ€™s stirrup,
For an unmarried man or for helpers.

ูฉ. ูˆูŽุนูŽู†ุณู ูƒูŽู…ูุฑุฏุงุฉู ุงู„ู‚ูุฐุงูู ุงุจุชูŽุฐูŽู„ุชูู‡ุง
ู„ูุจููƒุฑู ู…ูู†ูŽ ุงู„ุญุงุฌุงุชู ุฃูŽูˆ ู„ูุนูŽูˆุงู†ู

10. So when my soul fulfilled what it fulfilled,
Through the severity and twists it reached.

11. I took the rope of Muhammadโ€™s ropes,
I felt safe with it from the vicissitudes of events.

ูกูก. ุฃูŽุฎูŽุฐุชู ุจูุญูŽุจู„ู ู…ูู† ุญูุจุงู„ู ู…ูุญูŽู…ู‘ูŽุฏู
ุฃูŽู…ูู†ุชู ุจูู‡ู ู…ูู† ู†ุงุฆูุจู ุงู„ุญูŽุฏูŽุซุงู†ู

12. I covered myself in the shade of his wing from my fate,
So my eye sees my fate but it does not see me.

ูกูข. ุชูŽุบูŽุทู‘ูŽูŠุชู ู…ูู† ุฏูŽู‡ุฑูŠ ุจูุธูู„ู‘ู ุฌูŽู†ุงุญูู‡ู
ููŽุนูŽูŠู†ูŠ ุชูŽุฑู‰ ุฏูŽู‡ุฑูŠ ูˆูŽู„ูŽูŠุณูŽ ูŠูŽุฑุงู†ูŠ

13. If the days were asked what my name is, they would not know,
And where is my place, they would not know my place.

14. Muhammad made the difficulties of problems subside,
So he became praised by every tongue.

ูกูค. ุฃูŽุฐูŽู„ู‘ูŽ ุตูุนุงุจูŽ ุงู„ู…ูุดูƒูู„ุงุชู ู…ูุญูŽู…ู‘ูŽุฏูŒ
ููŽุฃูŽุตุจูŽุญูŽ ู…ูŽู…ุฏูˆุญุงู‹ ุจููƒูู„ู‘ู ู„ูุณุงู†ู

15. Muhammad's generosity is too lofty for comparison,
When his palms rain with gifts.

ูกูฅ. ูŠูุฌูŽู„ู‘ู ุนูŽู†ู ุงู„ุชูŽุดุจูŠู‡ู ุฌูˆุฏู ู…ูุญูŽู…ู‘ูŽุฏู
ุฅูุฐุง ู…ูŽุฑูุญูŽุช ูƒูŽูู‘ุงู‡ู ุจูุงู„ู‡ูŽุทูŽู„ุงู†ู

16. The heavens' favors and his palm make you oblivious,
It is generous with the nectar of palms at all times.

ูกูฆ. ูŠูุบูุจู‘ููƒูŽ ู…ูŽุนุฑูˆูู ุงู„ุณูŽู…ุงุกู ูˆูŽูƒูŽูู‘ูู‡ู
ุชูŽุฌูˆุฏู ุจูุณูŽุญู‘ู ุงู„ุนูุฑูู ูƒูู„ู‘ูŽ ุฃูŽูˆุงู†ู

17. And if the aid of spears grew firm in war, for it
With the boldness of a lion in the striking of its canines.

ูกูง. ูˆูŽุฅูู† ุดูŽุจู‘ูŽุชู ุงู„ุญูŽุฑุจูŽ ุงู„ุนููˆุงู†ู ุณูŽู…ุง ู„ูŽู‡ุง
ุจูุตูŽูˆู„ูŽุฉู ู„ูŽูŠุซู ููŠ ู…ูŽุถุงุกู ุณูู†ุงู†ู

18. So no one is more openhanded with his soulโ€™s sacrifice,
For death and the spears are outstretched.

19. You succeeded Abu Uthman in every righteousness,
And I swore none will build your building after you.
