Whose glories remain through the days.

3. When I called on you for the important task, you answered me,
"I am at your service," and found sweet my words.

4. Leave aside the promises I have made
Until their fruits are for completion.

5. So if you extend a hand to help me,
I have shook you with the shaking of battle.

6. How many fires of straying wars you've doused,
And weaned the suckling of ignorance.

7. Kings have seen your father with eyes
Painted with the musk of veneration.

8. And they entrusted their crowns to his statue—
God knows him among the throngs of people.
