1. Roam wherever you wish with these melodies
That have blossomed with ode and festival

2. O fragrance of faith spreading goodness
Through deeds and eloquence of rhetoric

3. O light piercing through the darkness of night
And flowing within ardent breasts

4. O throbbing of a passionate heart
And pulsation of mercy and tenderness

5. Help us, for we have strayed and lost
Our steps in the dark wilderness of life

6. Aid us with a verse of clarity
Radiating essence of noble meanings

7. Every freedom dies if it’s not
The freedom of truthful tongue

8. All beauty dies in us if it’s not
Adorned with a verse of eloquence

9. How we have fallen, never to rise
Our virtues scattered in the mud

10. How we have choked voices
That died of suffocation and humiliation

11. Speechless letters are disgrace and death
Buried between villain and coward

12. Yearning passion never ceased to escalate
Among our folds, and chaste wishes

13. Help us with the awe of words that reveal
Honor or restore faith

14. How many a foe you see killing
The splendor of words of guidance and heavens

15. Oh disgrace of mankind discarded
By blasphemy, lost wishes and passions

16. Oh slaves led by whips on earth
Walking there like cattle

17. Each day they have a new god
Oh disgrace of lords and slaves

18. Carved from myths and ignorance
Molded by fanciful passions

19. Each day, diverse doctrines for them
Of Greek and Roman misguidance

20. Then named philosophies and thought
Between heresy’s injustice and sorcery’s fraud

21. A sedition ignited by earth’s debauchery
With flames extending from fires

22. Leave it, O people! What corruption
For builders of generations and nations

23. Don’t fear, O soul! They are cowards
How vile is the coward among cowards

24. And features of the Criterion
Between a verse and a tradition

25. O what a full moon! And battleground
Marching with eras and ages

26. Time bows before it, igniting
Torches of strong faith

27. In its arenas nights swell
With a call to prayer and Quran's chant

28. Marching legions, stampede of horses
Shouts of Merciful to mankind

29. Genius of strife, from fervor of passion
And zeal, and benevolence

30. Scent of glory, all in the folds
In atoms that shone, in valleys and dunes

31. Every inch saturated with blood
Every sword pride of spear and melodies

32. An inspired literature and meaning’s pouring
A literature nourished by eloquence

33. From the Prophet's sayings and the Quran
It is a fountain of guidance, a pouring

34. Of loyalty, and throb of heavens
How aromatic is its fragrance! It wafted

35. The scent of truth or essence of benevolence
My ribs bowed to its great verses

36. And dawn’s shining assault
Passion seized me from fervent love

37. I swooned! And called: where is the builder’s will?
Where are glories of my nation? How can you accept

38. “Apollo” and call from humiliation?
Of the loyal and affectionate companion

39. From there I took from history
From a garden and an orchard

40. Essence of glory, or pearls of conquest
Or threaded garlands from generosity

41. And blossoming flowers
Fragrant with aroma, and scent of heavens

42. As they gather into verses
In a loving heart and conscience

43. A glimpse gathering splendors from Medina
And surge and zeal of Yemen

44. Do not disappear from us arenas of Badr
Release your processions and steeds

45. Surge, O processions of truth, roam
Between victory and sincerity of wishes

46. And be truthful to God and seek heaven, not worldly life
Or vanities of fleeting life

47. Indeed highest eloquence is pouring of blood
Shed by arenas of faith

48. Every letter molded by a freeman’s blood
Is light flowing through ages

49. A glance from you, my brother, wafting
Passion for truth or essence of wishes

50. A sweet glance, and great school
And firmly constructed home

51. As if I see you rise! Swoon!
And call: O men of eloquence!

52. Arise! Regain eloquence and protect
the language of truth from criminal enemy

53. And rise! These are schools of Badr
Release your cavalry processions

54. How much did spite and envy
Misguide our horses into humiliation and defeat

55. To you my greetings, brother Ahmad
Purity of prayer and benevolence
