1. History must listen to us
And fill its ears with what we have

2. For we are its protectors in peace and war
And we are its daughters in religion and life

3. And we are its guides in words and deeds
And we are its supporters in firmness and gentleness

4. It brought forth stars on our platforms
And unleashed our melodies in our processions

5. And we were the best of its nations in morals
Adhering to the religion of Muhammad

6. A clear path in which I have no doubt
Nor crookedness, we are guided leaders

7. So what do the enemies resent us for?
And what do they claim and falsely accuse us of

8. Other than our faith in God as Lord
And in Islam as our sturdy legislation?

9. The enemies of Islam insult us
That in itself is an honor, if only they understood us

10. We have our Islam, and they have their passions
Be it "Marx" or "Lenin"

11. The path has been made clear for all who walk it
And the truth was shining and evident

12. Will a hand that yesterday
Fought me and filled me with certainty betray me?

13. And a brother I used to aspire to
And considered faithful betray me?

14. From theguidance of the peninsula, cradle
Of the light of Muhammad in both worlds

15. The peoples looked to a radiance
That erased their darkness and the unjust
