1. I have not seen horses like them on the day
When the sons of Shamja pursued them behind the sandhills

2. They swore oaths and went forward leading
And they broke away from us for what was destined

3. In the evening we severed the ties between us
With our swords while the witnesses were the sons of Badr

4. So I awoke having freed my oath and attained
The sons of Tha'labah exhausted while my poetry returned to me
