1. Did you not see the rose bare its chest
And deviate from pretense and the light of mirages

2. And it brought me out from youths I did not want to part from
While they are in dire straits and distressed

3. And it broke the reins of my self-control and empowered me
Over its command when the people of truths refused

4. So I said to it when I suffered its tribulation
And I am surely parting from a beloved friend

5. I will tell whoever I met who suffered its tribulation
And they think I am not truthful
