1. Ill of glance and eye,
Fair of form and grace,
١. عليل اللَّحظِ والطَّرفِ
مليحُ الشكلِ والظرفِ
2. He has surpassed in joy
And beauty the realm of description.
٢. لقد جاوزَ في البهجة
والحُسنِ مَدى الوصفِ
3. For him, a rose on the cheek
Forbidden from plucking,
٣. لهُ وردٌ على الوجن
ةِ ممنوعٌ من القَطفِ
4. His eyes spread sickness,
But his glance brings healing.
٤. يَبثُّ السقمَ من عيني
هِ لكن لحظُهُ يشفي
