1. Excellence prevailed till Beauty bowed to it
And he who beheld it was impelled to explore it

2. For this reason in it is what delights him
And hence in it is what mostly attracts him

3. Part of it vies with another in beauty
Glory to Him who made it perfect in every part

4. In it are shining lights radiant in their glow
Dispensed in it by the One Who decreed that it should be so
