And in weeping eyes find occupation
١. عينٌ بطولِ البكاء موكلةُ
وفي البكا للعيونِ مشغلة
2. Her lashes acquiesce to yearning
As if to passion enslaved
٢. أذعنَ للشوقِ دَمعُ مقلتها
كأنَّها للهَوى مذللة
3. Cheeks like a moon whose dimples
Are adorned with rose's blush enchained
٣. وَجداً ببدرٍ كأنَّ وَجنتهُ
بالغضِّ من وردِها مكللة
4. As though the sun in its journeying
Rises above or shines through her visage
٤. كأنَّما الشمسُ في سوالفهِ
تطلعُ أو فوقَها ممثلة
