1. You cannot alleviate my wounds
My tear, go back to where you came

2. You cannot cure my illness
You cannot mend my ruin

3. You cannot save me from my misery
You cannot free me from my torment

4. You cannot relieve the weight of my old age
You cannot bring back the days of my youth

5. You cannot grant me
Rest or calm my nerves

6. You are but a drop that will fade away
If it falls on a spot on my clothes

7. Or get lost in the whiteness of my beard
Or dry up on the soil

8. And the dust will absorb you when
A thirsty one touches you like a flaming fire

9. And you may fall from the corner of my eye
Like dew upon smooth grass

10. Go back, for life is not worth
Flowing out like a shooting star

11. Do not flow even if it was destined that you flow
Due to an inevitable reason

12. My soul does not accept to be disgraced
By my sorrows even if they filled my eyelids

13. It is not praiseworthy for you to stay long
Between the eyelid and eyebrow

14. O daughter of worries, if you dwelled in the heart, do not go out to the doors
My tear, do not depend in your misfortunes

15. On the promises of the deceitful fate
So go back gently to the heart

16. You cannot be created by pouring out
Do you want in my soul a shelter

17. That will save you from the heat of my passions?
I did not ask the eyes to cry

18. For you to be the answer to my question
There is no shame in going back

19. For one who strayed from the path of right
And if you fell against my will

20. My tear, my rebuke of you would be long
If I cried, I cry for my poetry

21. I gifted it to oblivion
Each of its verses, if squeezed

22. A pure tear upon the cheeks
Between my poetry and what rages in my chest

23. Of feelings and branches of lineage
I am its speaker and it is mine

24. And both of us in speech do not differ
And may my poetry express my feelings

25. And may my poetry take the place of my lament
