1. People once believed in Allah
Yet I see you distracted by nature

2. Alas, the days of religion have passed
Alas for them, alas, alas

To your progress, though all boast of it

7. Can people who believe in a Creator
Of the whole universe, unfathomed

8. Unbelief is not compelled, though they spread
Religion through compulsion

9. One who believes in nature is not like
One who believes in Allah

10. Nature is tangible to people
While Allah is heard from mouths

11. Reason denies Allah once seeing
The Lord's infinity

12. While believers in the Choosing Creator
Cling to a thread of faint supposition

13. By my life, I never heard the like, that
For people it holds woes and misfortunes
