1. The atmosphere of politics is electrified
It has no pleasing color

Anticipating a looming danger

3. In this vague horizon
Evil looms above the horizon

Why does it roar?

5. My eyes see and my instincts
Fear and my skin shudders

6. The tempest raged, the mind stunned
And the soul panicked

7. Calamities uproot everything
It encounters and wrecks

8. Its tails above the land
And plains, dragging

9. What was before its typhoons
Living on earth, now unrecognizable

10. A day like the face of a monster
With fangs in its cheeks

11. And intelligence has hidden
From its terrifying face

12. No ray of light guides the day
Nor dawn for the night

13. Clouds being chased
By raging storms

14. Lightning and deafening thunder
Like flaming torches ablaze

15. And I look into the sky
But see nothing pleasing

16. And there a raging sea
Its waves unsettled

17. As if mountains in
Valleys' embrace collapsed

18. Plunging into their depths
After arrogantly towering

19. Its wolves unleashed havoc
While dogs cannot bark

20. The rich fear poverty
After abundance and wealth

21. While the poor do not
Envy or covet

22. I live in an era where people
Have abandoned virtue

23. An era where weak nations
Are unwillingly controlled

24. An era where strong nations
Break their promises

25. God has no escape
For the bird from its afflictions

26. With a hawk of great wings in the sky
And a cat on the ground

27. Those we hoped would benefit us
Have harmed us

28. And it is as if there is deafness
In these people from truth and reason

29. I see no wisdom nor wealth
To protect with an army

30. Is a descending beast like one
Above the clouds with a plan?

31. It runs in the sky
As if an eagle in flight

32. I advised the people of the two rivers
To reconcile

33. But the people of the two rivers
Insisted on discord

34. They did not heed my advice
Until calamity befell them

35. It was as if their ears
Were deaf to the truth and wisdom

36. I have not seen anything
As wise as the mind unobstructed

37. Whoever lives relying
On fate wanders astray

38. A youth's determination
Is stronger than fate and erects him

39. I am an old man
With little desire for life

40. When alive, everything befitting others
Befits me too

41. And if I die, everything after
My death does not harm me

42. Yet I see demise
Is a man's loss

43. An old man's soul wearies of life
Yet it pleases him

44. While the sap of his veins
Dries up, hopes in his heart thrive

45. As for the youth, his life
And youth are water and wine
