1. I heard the groans of the homelands
In a faint voice filled with sorrows

2. She stretched out to you her hand of complaint
For injustice and aggression did roam her

3. Help the weak ones and make haste
For the victors are few and the aiders languish

4. If you support and guard her banks
Against an usurping invader, the time has come

5. Give your aid and restore your people’s rule
For the young and old were wronged

6. And tears of sorrow streamed down their cheeks
And their eyelids ulcerated with flowing tears

7. The sorrowful must shed tears
For when despair weighs down the heart

8. One's tears betray the grieved
Like a title betrays its book

9. O jealous protector rise against
The arrogant gang of injustice and tyranny

10. For justice is disgraced in its halls
And knowledge and learning dishonored

11. The sanctity of mosques is disgraced
And the Koran dishonored in its altar

12. They made the government in the country a ruse
For treason, shaking the lands

13. Nothing is dear to the hearts of their elite
Except the yellow that jingles

14. A people without mercy, were they
Not solid rock they would not have softened

15. They robbed the tribes of their wealth through means
Even Satan cannot fathom

16. Not content with robbing their riches
Except to dishonor their women

17. When the women tired of appeasing them
They thought their defiance was rebellion

18. So they pounced, hunting their men
With bullets, as if they were deer

19. The survivors fled in fear
Of the fires consuming their lives

20. None remained in those lands before them
Except the children and women

21. The aggressors scattered amongst their homes
Committing atrocities, disgracing

22. Alas, their wealth could not save them
By God, this is utter loss

23. Woe to the citizens, they wore
The garb of ruin, no trace of home

24. Despised in their eyes, neither people nor humans
By God, their greed sucked our blood

25. And ate what even worms won't eat
O justice, we love you indeed

26. This estrangement and avoidance must end
O justice, despair plagues our souls

27. O justice, we look to you for affection and solace
O justice, since you shunned us of wealth

28. O justice, we are in dire need of you
O justice, we parted like souls and bodies part

29. Lord, corruption spreads as you see
And the pillars of your faith demolished

30. Lord, the rights of our weak were sold
To the powerful, the prices soared

31. Lord, truth is lost amongst our elites
Lord, lies and slander spread

32. No doubt discord chose its abode
Amongst Muslims though they are brothers

33. No doubt this malice amongst our men
No doubt this betrayal and abandonment

34. No doubt the souls will not be reformed
No doubt the minds will not awaken

35. A people, by my life, sleep plunged them into ignorance
Only evil remains awake amongst them

36. All peoples made progress in their affairs
While we were deprived of any share

37. Look at Iran, how it slipped
From a malicious plan of harm and humiliation

38. It brought reforms to elevate its standing
Praise God for what Iran has brought

39. It instituted consultations and parliament
Where the nation's view holds sway

40. It raised the banner of justice over its lands
Until pauper and king were leveled
