1. None converse in the dew but the dew,
And if it intends otherwise, it cannot be stirred,

2. Your bounty to me has grown mighty,
Though with you it remains hidden and humble,

3. You forget it as if you had never granted it,
While to people it remains famed and grand,

4. How often you have bestowed favors upon me,
Leaving the wisher in sorrow and despair,

5. Every humble home has easy access to it,
It is robed in ink whose bend is straight,

6. With passion it gives light and with water gives life,
So I deserve thanks just as
