1. She stands independent in prosperity,
Filling the horizons with promise and threat.

2. When she draws from its sea,
The earth is covered with bounty and generosity.

3. Whether she promises or threatens poverty,
The pouring rain and fierce might.

4. She is in peace a pouring cloud
Extending long shade over the land.

5. And in war an unsheathed sword,
Cutting the veins of those who oppose her.
