1. Your grave is honored, O best of rulers,
With a greeting like the morning breeze that passed through the abodes.

ูก. ุชูŽุฎูุตู‘ู ู‚ูŽุจุฑูƒูŽ ูŠุง ุฎูŠุฑูŽ ุงู„ุณู„ุงุทูŠู†ู
ุชูŽุญูŠุฉูŒ ูƒุงู„ุตู‘ูุจุง ู…ูŽุฑู‘ูŽุช ุจุฏุงุฑูŠู†ู

2. In it lies a leader of the sons of Nasr, an imam of guidance,
Of the highest ranks in life and in religion.

ุนูŽุฃู„ูŠ ุงู„ู…ุฑุงุชูุจ ููŠ ุงู„ุฏู‘ูู†ูŠุง ูˆูŽููŠ ุงู„ุฏููŠู†ู

3. O Abu al-Walid, what a king you were,
Al-Mustansir, trusting in God, protected.

ูฃ. ุฃุจูˆ ุงู„ูˆู„ูŠุฏ ูˆู…ุง ุฃุฏุฑุงูƒ ู…ู† ู…ูŽู„ููƒู
ู…ูุณุชูŽู†ุตุฑู ูˆุงุซู‚ู ุจุงู„ู„ู‘ู‡ู ู…ุฃู…ูˆู†ู

4. A just sultan of mighty valor and help against enemies,
And exceeding virtue, piety and noble traits.

ูค. ุณูู„ุทุงู† ุนุฏู„ ูˆุจุฃุณู ุบุงู„ุจ ูˆู†ุฏู‹ู‰
ูˆูุถู„ ุชู‚ูˆู‰ ูˆุฃุฎู„ุงู‚ู ู…ูŽูŠูŽุงู…ููŠู†ู

5. To God belongs what death has hidden of glory
And the secret splendor buried in this grave.

ูฅ. ู„ูู„ู‘ู‡ู ู…ุง ู‚ุฏ ุทูˆุงู‡ู ุงู„ู…ูˆุชู ู…ูู† ุดุฑูู
ูˆูŽุณูุฑู‘ูŽ ู…ูŽุฌุฏู ุจู‡ุฐุง ุงู„ู„ู‘ูŽุญุฏู ู…ูŽุฏูููˆู†ู

6. And the tongue which spoke of God,
And the heart filled with the love of God.

ูฆ. ูˆู…ู† ู„ุณุงู†ู ุจูุฐููƒุฑู ุงู„ู„ู‡ู ู…ู†ุทู„ู‚
ูˆู…ู† ูุคุงุฏู ุจูุญูุจู‘ู ุงู„ู„ู‡ ู…ุณูƒูˆู†ู

7. As for jihad, he revived its symbols,
Fulfilling prescribed and supererogatory duties.

ูง. ุฃู…ู‘ูŽุง ุงู„ุฌู‡ุงุฏู ูู‚ุฏ ุฃุญูŠูŽุง ู…ูŽุนุงู„ูู…ูŽู‡ู
ูˆู‚ุงู… ู…ู†ู‡ ุจู…ูุฑูˆุถ ูˆู…ุณู†ูˆู†ู

8. So how many conquests for him which the pulpits boast of
In wonder, and the pages of records!

ูจ. ููŽูƒูŽู… ููุชูˆุญ ู„ู‡ ุชูŽุฒู‡ูˆ ุงู„ู…ู†ุงุจุฑู ู…ู†
ุนูุฌุจู ุจู‡ู†ู‘ูŽ ูˆุฃูˆุฑุงู‚ู ุงู„ุฏูˆุงูˆูŠู†ู

9. A fighter who obtained from the merit of martyrdom what
Is repaid with a reward beyond measure.

ูฉ. ู…ูุฌุงู‡ุฏูŒ ู†ุงู„ ู…ู† ููŽุถู„ู ุงู„ุดู‡ุงุฏุฉ ู…ุง
ูŠูุฌุจู‰ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ุจุฃุฌุฑู ุบูŠุฑู ู…ู…ู†ูˆู†ู

10. He passed away at noon in the sacred month, like Uthman,
Slain in his house with a stab wound.

ูกู . ู‚ุถู‰ ูƒุนุซู…ุงู†ูŽ ููŠ ุงู„ุดู‡ุฑู ุงู„ุญุฑุงู…ู ุถูุญู‰ู‹
ูˆูุงุฉ ู…ูุณุชูŽุดู‡ูุฏู ููŠ ุงู„ุฏุงุฑู ู…ูŽุทุนูˆู†ู

The dust of battle wipes his cheeks,

ูกูก. ููŠ ุนุงุฑูุถูŽูŠู‡ู ุบูุจุงุฑูŽ ุงู„ุบูŽุฒูˆ ุชู…ุณูŽุญูู‡ู
ููŠ ุฌูŽู†ู‘ูŽุฉู ุงู„ุฎูู„ุฏู ุฃูŠุฏููŠ ุญูˆุฑู‡ุง ุงู„ุนูŠู†ู

12. While heavenly maidensโ€™ hands caress him in the eternal garden.
His killer is given Hellโ€™s bitter drink and burning foods,

ู…ูุฑูŽุฏู‘ูุฏูŒ ุจูŽูŠู†ูŽ ุฒูŽู‚ููˆู…ู ูˆุบุณู„ูŠู†ู

13. Tossed between Hellfire and boiling water.
The lands and all people weep for him alike,

ูกูฃ. ุชูŽุจูƒูŠ ุงู„ุจู„ุงุฏู ุนู„ูŠู‡ ูˆุงู„ุนุจุงุฏู ู…ุนุงู‹
ูุงู„ุฎู„ู‚ู ู…ุง ุจูŽูŠู†ูŽ ุฃุญุฒูŽุงู†ู ุฃูุงู†ูŠู†ู

14. So creations are between sorrows and lamentations.
But it is the decree of his Lord which cannot be rejected,

ูกูค. ู„ูŽูƒูู†ู‘ูŽู‡ู ุญููƒู…ู ุฑุจู‘ู ู„ุง ู…ูŽุฑูŽุฏู‘ูŽ ู„ู‡
ูุฃู…ุฑู‡ ุงู„ุฌุฒู… ุจูŠู† ุงู„ูƒุงูู ูˆุงู„ู†ูˆู†ู

15. His command is decisive between the kaf and the nun.
So may the mercy of God, Lord of the Worlds, be upon
