With the tranquility of pious devotion in place of intimacy

2. In an army whose youths delight the rightly guided
But for the misguided they are thorns

3. In it are the black horses amidst the dust of battle
Above every overburdened, exhausted conveyance

4. Armored men meet the foe with their chests
In every strait, breaking and charging

5. Or archers with Turkish quivers
Whose eyes gleam with joyful tidings

6. Bearing an Arabian bow adorned
With decoration made of elephant tusk
