1. The bearer came so welcome, the water-bearer and his water
In anticipation of it, joy arose upon the water's course

2. And nothing is conveyed but the masterpieces of wisdom
And no cup but of lines and pages

3. Thus it created an ecstasy after ecstasy
Extending with spirituality of diverse tastes

4. So from its splendid calligraphy is enjoyment for my viewer
And hearing and the soul's share of it remains
