1. Defenders of the perilous religion and glory
Come on, for happiness is in coming together

2. The gloomy West has become crowded
To take away the enlightened light

3. And this is the religion of the best Messenger Taha
Calling you: Is there anyone to help?

4. The Muslim countries in every place
Their capitals and borders are threatened

5. So how, while you are ferocious prey
Owners of reputations and large numbers

6. You were patient towards contemptible insects
Hovering over eagles’ nests?

7. And in the lions’ jungle a vicious beast
Used to be defeated by just a roar

8. So those kingdoms of Islam complain
Of calamities and sorrows coming upon them from the enemy

9. Mosques have become ruined
With churches and monasteries reconstructed

10. And many a warner has come to us from them
But the ears did not listen to the warner

11. And today is not like any other day
For they have come with irresistible power

12. I say to those who ask about the secret of war
Which has been stirred up over the experts

13. The talk of war expresses grievances
Even if the delusions are many

14. For they sought neither colonization
Nor expanding great dominion

15. Rather they came to assassinate the religion
To extinguish any light from its radiance

16. And they said the West will always strive
To trip the Muslims and impede them

17. And the Muslims have no concern for them
Except meeting the ambassadors

18. Ambassadors are not our swords,
which settle matters with their sharpness

19. The enemy has reached the point
That hearts are too narrow for their flood

20. So why don’t you preemptively strike them
Until valleys of death flow over them?

21. If living life in humiliation
Then dying honorably is better for the zealous

22. Indeed they entered Tripoli and it became
A target for the swiftly fired flames

23. So Arab heroes rose up to protect it
With slaughter from the spears of brave men

24. Swearing there would be nothing for the enemy
But the grave in it

25. Men whose nature is the scent of misk
As though scent were the perfume of musk

26. When talking with them they rush
Into the sea of death smiling

27. So many of them crowded over the rose of death
As the thirsty crowd on top of the flowing spring

28. Those tyrannical aggressors - and that is a name
Showing its insignificant bearer

29. They attacked Tripoli savagely
Branding Europe as evil

30. And they claimed: “We came only for justice”
So clear away the speech of lies and falsehood!

31. For in Iran that “justice” revealed itself
In tyranny and treachery

32. So in the North the ruthless Russians seized it
Denying it independence for ages

33. And in the South the English army marched
Without reason or excuse

34. Ask Tabriz about what afflictions it faced
For its stories distress even the patient

35. It is though I see the canons bombarding
Weakening the mosques and palaces

36. Whenever they roar the hearts of the protected ones
Are frightened - the ladies of the quarters

37. So my burning passion goes to the quarters
With no guardian to protect the womenfolk

38. If a small boy hastens to a grown man
The small boy’s blood spills over the grown man

39. When they sought protection with the banners of guidance
They saw no rescue coming from them

40. Rather they stood in order to support
The religion of Muhammad the heralding guide

41. The gloom of tribulations grew dark
So they illuminated themselves with the stars and orbs

42. They are truly the scholars so follow them
For they are upon enlightened truth

43. Obey those in authority over you
For obeying them is obeying the Powerful King

44. The abode of happiness is no other goal
Except the turning axis of magnificent Islam

45. The best life in the world passes away
So why be deluded with the short lifetime?

46. We have firm confidence in one of the two bounties
And in them both, attainment of bliss:

47. Either through martyrdom and that is my blessing
Or through victory and success

48. So rise, O Islamic nation, rise
Every strong lion roars

49. War is made cautious by those rushing to death
Meeting their end with a cheerful wink

50. Their souls Allah has bought from them
With the blessings of Paradise and damsels

51. So say to the invaders: Beware a day
When the faces are angry and frowning

52. On the day when Islam in it rises up
Shouting: O sparkling land!

53. There the India they know is none but
The flashing Indian swords

54. The Caucasas revolt collapses
The Russian bastions with the stirring resolve

55. And the brigades hustle from Bukhara
From Afghanistan with the immense army

56. And it expels the occupiers from Egypt
Establishing its glory after ruin

57. Tunisia and Algeria travel onwards
To us in the path of a triumphant ally

58. And Morocco feels what it has met and endured
While absent-minded not knowing

59. So the Morocco far west will soon
Comfort the East in the difficult time
