1. With knowledge we build our office
And God guides us to it

2. Its flowers of knowledge blossom
So the rose smells sweet to the picker

3. And the rose tastes sweet to the savorer
In it is the irrigation for our thirst

4. Knowledge has shone with its splendor
And passed away with ignorance and its darkness

5. Welcome knowledge and its rising
It has come with great arrival for us

6. O you whose smile is bliss
The secret of souls with passion

7. With your breeze, that fragrance
Breezes of connection give us good news

8. The youth long for your connection
Thirsty for the flowers of your meadows

9. It has fallen to you as a refugee
Through you its beautiful horizon becomes clear

10. So the lands of the East are hopeful
And dependent on meeting you

11. And the land is anguished in your absence
So revive the barren land that enthralled us

12. The knowledge of Islam from the beginning
Was light upon knowledge

13. And its brilliance extended over nations
So it removed their dark gloom

14. From our east shone the glittering light
And the darkness of the West was unveiled by it

15. So the East was rewarded for what it did
Oh West, it sang dirges for you

16. And you claimed to be the protector of mankind
Saving it from danger

17. But your evil ones attacked
And filled its worlds with sorrow

18. So you demolished the foundations of its power
And seized the benefits of its wealth

19. And divided the kingdoms of its state
Is this the justice you argue for us?

20. It is as if I see the East united
And repaying you for the day you were unjust

21. So you tasted bitterness as you deserved
And the aggressor became the most unjust

22. Oh ignorance, you destroyed the nation
And brought evil into cities

23. And to how many tribulations did you surrender
A people who through you have become destitute

24. We will surely suffer harm from you
You have created thorns in the eye of glory

25. We will stir up war against you
When the banners of knowledge wave through us

26. So fall into darkness, Oh ignorance
And arise to the stars, Oh knowledge

27. And smash the gloom of the firmament with your brilliance
To illuminate your lands and the nation
