1. Alone, to injustice I remain captive,
While others see me as weak and helpless.

2. Yet within me lives a prideful soul
That refuses humiliation or disgrace.

3. I gather with a friend to mend our bond,
In a meeting free of ill assumptions.

4. I give him only sincerity, not false
Affection that conceals envy within.

5. Through life’s trials steadfastly I tread,
My sword alone will help me through.

6. I aim for praise at enlightened times,
And from blame withdraw my downcast eyes.

7. Swiftly to what makes a young man shine,
Slowly from what makes a companion decline.

8. For if you see me honor forefathers,
I make their noble ways my faith and creed.

9. And if I claim descent from an origin,
It is to the hunters of honor I belong.

10. I aspire to glory through flowering deeds
That raise the highest branches and boughs.

11. Their efforts shine like radiant stars
Lighting the way for all who see.

12. Seas of bounty from which seas derive
Pure, wholesome water for all who thirst.

13. In peace and war, their faithfulness
Either gains wishes or sows death.

14. On the day of war they set their brows,
On the day of battle they break their frowns.

15. Ask time, for it knows their glory well,
Its tales of them always ring true.

16. They walked when time was fresh with youth
Winding its seasons and years anew.

17. Their glory remains forever verdant,
Sheltered since ancient times from decline.

18. Time leans on them, displaying
Its tresses, horns, and twisting braids.

19. Regard their features and you will find
Clear beauty manifest to all.

20. None have you seen with more generosity,
None with more glory or grace.

21. Their features evoke a sweet fragrance
That makes the years turn fragrant.

22. They hasten when called to nobility,
And race to answer the noblest needs.

23. They have permission for the battle’s day,
Willing souls who scoff at sanctions.

24. When they make a promise, it is kept,
And they fulfill every pledge.

25. Into fiery war they bravely charge,
With resolve and strength their only guides.

26. If terror makes their steps retreat,
They walk like camels, calm and serene.

27. When the fighting ends they seek no profit,
For them generosity has no bounds.

28. They hoard only deeds of goodness,
While others hoard only worthless wealth.

29. Wisdom and truth guide all they say,
Not vain talk to serve themselves.

30. They honor every guest in their homes,
Where the neighbor is received with trust.

31. In their lands, even lions cower
From the strength these heroes constantly wield.

32. From their swords the clouds pour rain,
Turning drought to gentle showers.

33. They are the people whose blade laid waste
To the thrones of kings and the walls of forts.

34. Their treaties toppled crownéd heads,
Leaving great spoils for the conquerors.

35. With the light of justice they brought the dawn,
Dispelling darkness from oppressors’ reigns.

36. Their brilliant and enlightened knowledge
Lit the lamps of learning for the ignorant.

37. So come, cupbearer, and talk of them,
They ease the grief that fills my nights.

38. Speak of Arabs, for that brings joy
To weary hearts burdened by sorrows.

39. Recall our past days, those bygone times
That all grandeur longs for in wistfulness.

40. Recount our present days, in which
We have become prey for every hunter.

41. Convey to Qahtan’s offspring and Nazar
All their tribes and clans together.

42. Stirrings of grief that rouse distress
And rouse the sleeper’s eyes to weep.

43. Say to them: O protectors of auspiciousness,
O brave ones the day war raises its banners.

44. By you faith was made upright
And its pillar of guidance made firm.

45. By you every nation was humbled:
Persian, Roman, Indian, and Chinese.

46. When faith is mentioned, you are for it
The righteous sons - excellent are you as sons!

47. Return to defending it as you began,
Aiding it with all your might.

48. For your lands, once protected and glorious,
Have become plunder for every covetous eye.

49. The cross casts its glance on their nobility
While my soul writhes in humiliation and disgrace.

50. O Muslims everywhere, the cross wages
A heinous and wicked war against our faith.

51. It wants every country Christian,
With church bells ringing out their sad song.

52. It wants your shining settlements
Turned into convents for monks.

53. Will you not rage for God’s religion?
For it is time now to rise up enraged!

54. Will you not rage for the Prophet’s law,
The best of all Messengers, Glory of mankind?

55. Will you not rage for your homelands?
They have fallen captive to enemies!

56. Will you not rage for your people?
They suffer the blows of aggressors!

57. Iran - kingdom of the ancients,
Now it is the playground of upstarts.

58. England in the south of the region
Has gained all it hoped for and more.

59. Russia has infiltrated the north,
Extending the ruler's grip on vassals.

60. Morocco, once great, is disgraced,
France plants its army there as colonists.

61. King Abdul Hafiz failed his role,
No longer can he be trusted as king.

62. And Egypt still bears occupation’s
Demeaning torment, despite her heroes.

63. When will she rise, home of nobility,
And drive her invading guests away?

64. By backbiting she wounds her core,
With friendly fire she ruins her aims.

65. When, India, will you unite your people
To reclaim your rights from the usurpers?

66. For they stole your glory and pride,
And enslaved your noble and free.

67. Tripoli still struggles against
A grinding, consuming siege.

68. The devoted hearts of both peoples
Bleed with our children’s spilled blood.

69. As if their weeping eyes
Wept over innocent lives taken.

70. Have patience, for though Italy’s war
Offends, wars bring what we hate.

71. Whoever desires what we reject
Can only prevail by might and faith.

72. No peace between us, until the stronger,
In will and belief, is victorious.

73. No peace between us, until ruin’s
Cycles turn against the transgressors.

74. If you want our peace, then leave
These wretches their wretched nest.

75. If you want our peace, submit
To arbitrate, and return humbled.

76. Delusions you cling to, while lands you deemed sacred decay.
And while we stand by our word of steadfastness for war,

77. you cannot understand us.
A mirage you tricked us with,

78. Bringing no profit to the thirsty.
You return thirsty, while our swords

79. Are sated, wet with your blood.
You fancied yourselves protected, but calamity

80. Weaves its verses and scenes over you.
Troubles of a weary soul you brought upon it,

81. While homelands you deemed sacred fell into decay.
Still we stand by our promise to persist

82. In this war - yet you do not comprehend us.
