1. O one whose heart bears not its sorrows,
Whose eyes shed not their tears,

2. My friends, will you not make happy
One who sees in his purpose every day that which terrifies him,

3. I came to the house of my loved ones and the place of their burial,
So the eyelids poured down their flowing tears,

4. And I tried patience though it was my armour in calamities,
But the days said to me you cannot endure it,

5. So is it possible that our life that has passed in its length
Despite the nights can be returned?
